Q: Why should I sign up with BuyTheDay fundraiser?
A: There are several benefits to utilizing our digital platform, including:
– Our digital platform allows participants to share the fundraiser with thousands of prospective donors through email, social media, etc. to family and friends all across the country
– No need to keep track of who donated and constantly update physical calendars. The donors will enter their own name when the purchase the day
– No worrying about keeping up with multiple forms of payments. All payments will be securely processed via credit/debit card transaction, and stored securely until the end of the campaign.

Q: Are there any incentives for a successful campaign?
A: Yes, Spark Fundraising, LLC offers incentives for successful campaigns. These requirements will be discussed and agreed upon in our contract. The funds can be used to reward the participants (ice-cream party, etc.), or simply add the money to the organization’s bottom line.

Q: Do I have to collect any information from the donors?
A: No, organizations do not need to have any contact with the donors

Q: How much work is required from the leaders of the organization?
A: Very little work is required by the organization after we agree to work together.
– Spark Funding, LLC asks that you use our excel template to provide the first and last name of the participants
– Spark Funding, LLC will generate the unique URLs and note them on the excel spreadsheet for easy distribution via email and social media

Q: Who collects the money?
A: All funds go to a general holding account with Spark Fundraising, LLC. Once the campaign is completed, an electronic transfer is initiated, or a check is cut, to the organization. Also, included with the payment is a complete breakdown of how much each member raised, as well as a grand total of all funds

Q: How long does a fundraiser campaign last?
A: It will be determined by each organization, but we recommend our organizations to run the campaign for 3 weeks.

Q: How much does this cost to run?
A: In summary:
– No upfront costs
– No minimum requirements or levels
– No maximum limitations (participants can fill up multiple calendars)
– Spark Fundraising, LLC will cover all transactional fees. Allowing donors to process payments online does come with a fee. Spark Fundraising, LLC will keep 15% of the funds collected, to cover transactional fees, website fees, and other variable costs associated with running secure transactions through our online platform. And – of course – don’t forget about the incentives provided for a successful campaign.
